Reloading brass 7.62x39

Recommended Posts

I have just finished converting my Saega 762x39 , bullet guide , fire control etc.

now I find it almost impossible to find ammo

I am buying reloading equipment and plan on reloading 762x39 if brass comes available

Winchester brass is on backorder everywhere I have looked

My question is , sorry if it sounds stupid .

Can I use another caliber brass and trim it down.

I appreciate any advice.

Nope... sorry. Gotta use 7.62 X 39 brass.

Also, I think you are going to find that the AK platform will mangle your brass without a brass protector on the side of the dust cover.

Still, it is going to leave a healthy dent in the casings.

  • 4 weeks later...

If you just want to get started while you wait on your backorders, I'll sell you a hundred new manufacture IMI ones. Wideners had them a while back for $140/k and I bought a bag. It's absolutely wonderful with cast lead because it costs next to nothing.

Just IM me.
