Rogi 0
Hey guys, whats the story with brining mags from overseas? Say your on a trip to Russia and pick up a few S12 or S20 mags. Q: Can these brought back? -If yes, do they have to be declared? -If not, can they be mailed back? I was told that they cant be brought or mailed back, but how does this Russian guy sell them then. k_dawg 0
the "conventional" wisdom is that any part not-requiring serialization, and/or restricted [ such as a reciever for the first, silencer for the second ] does not require an import license if the value is under $100 total per shipment. This, of course, assumes it is legal to own where you are shipping it to. Checked-luggage on an airline can be problematic, as then you are liable for any local laws. For example, if you come in to Kennedy or O'Hare, even thou you may never be in actual posession of it, you can get nailed for that.
Rogi 0
What if it's declared......or taken apart so it's just a piece of plastic. I guess mailing back is always an option. A friend in St .Petersburg could hook me up....
yurt_boy 0
Can hook YOU up or can hook ALL OF US up?
Rogi 0
Can hook YOU up or can hook ALL OF US up? Depends on what the TSA says. If I goto mail them back it will be slow going (1 or 2 at a time) assuming I can find some. Edited February 22, 2005 by Rogi
