yoosh907 0
Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun. This bill was introduced on Feb.. 24. This bill will become public knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law. This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate voting on it at all. The full text of the proposed amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage, http://www.senate.gov/ You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099. It basically reads that if this bill passes and you dont tell them what you have, its 5 years in prison.... what do you all think? zenmetsu 17
It basically reads that if this bill passes and you dont tell them what you have, its 5 years in prison.... what do you all think? I think that there is an overly tenderized horse corpse on the sidewalk. This has been discussed a fair amount already. I believe that the democrats themselves had little faith that this would ever be passed. And as for any additional taxation, especially something involving firearms, the government is way off their rocker. If you do the math to find out how many tax dollars would be generated if everyone was getting bent over as hard as you are, you would see that the government already makes more than enough. Not our fault if they choose to spend that money poorly. (Actually, that is our fault) I had an idea a while back that would make filing taxes a little more interesting. Basically after calculating how much you owe, you allocate percentages of your total to the causes that are important to you... whether that be environmental, educational, medical, space, military... whatever. This would prevent tax dollars from going to unpopular causes (such as the war on drugs or the wars in the middle east). The government could then allocate tax bonuses to the unpopular choices... say a 1.5x or 2x multiplier. Put your tax dollars towards an unpopular cause, and you do not have to pay quite as much in taxes overall. The government can pass stupid laws, but without the tax dollars to enforce them, there is little point in having the law in the first place.

HateTheSnow 29
Somewhat false, but some truth worth tracking. Read up on it here: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=43898
