dugiskull 0
just got it yesterday, snapped right in with no modifications required! it really makes it look badass, mmmm cant wait to fire it. It functions fine with regular AK mags , even though the rifle has no feed ramp.

SammoH 0
So I'm guessing you've made the pg conversion and such. That includes I hope modifying the rifle to take standard AK mags and drums? Otherwise, without any mods to the drum, it won't feed properly.
dugiskull 0
yeah, some guy did the work for me, cut new holes, installed US FCG, and trimmed mag catch. the drum hand cycles ok, its kind of rough without a feed ramp, the tips of FMJ get a little shaved, but cycled OK without riding the bolt shut. I fired it with regular unmodified AK mags and i didnt have any jams. Time to take the drum out and let it rip!!!
SammoH 0
You might want to just eliminate the rough feeding altogether and create a feed ramp for the rifle. If you've already had the pg conversion done, I wonder why a feed ramp wasn't included. Anyway, it'll make the cycling smoother.
dugiskull 0
yeah, how do you install a feed ramp? the only tools i have are 1) dremel tool 2) JB weld.
SammoH 0
I'd use the dremel to cut yourself a piece of pipe... argh! Why am I typing this? Check out this other thread, Packrat has great instructions on how to make a feed ramp with a dremel and epoxy... and a pipe. Anyway, here's the link. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=
