Did something else break? Would you mind posting a photo? Thanks. WS Wait a minute... did the ring break off of the dust protector (flap) that rides on the recoil spring rod? Thats it exactly The OP is on the right track. Call Russian American Armory for warranty repair. Spare parts are very hard to come by.
