imarangemaster 315
Anyone finding threaded barrels under the shrouds of the .223 Saigas now? I know some of the 09 model 7.62x39s owners are finding 14mm L threading under the shrouds.
3ac6ucb 24
Would be nice if they all came threaded underneath. Maybe RAA and Izhmash could work out an agreement and make that the new standard, and just tack weld a threaded piece to the FSB. Cut threads & install shroud at the factory in Russia: small cost. Guaranteed having a threaded barrel ready to go after dremeling 3-4 small spot welds: US customers willing to pay a bit more.

It looks "suspicious" to me. ;-)
imarangemaster 315
Yep, I would love it to be threaded underneath and put on an AMD 65 brake and a crush washer. I had one on my first saiga 7.62, but I had to thread it with a thread kit from Dinzag.
vulcan16 971
Just bought a new .223 Saturday, and converted it tonight(pics coming soon). I will be cutting back the shroud this weekend and hoping to find threads. The shround on the new one seems to have a different look from my last two Saigas. Oh yea.....it also has dimples.
