Rest of the conversion went well

I drank way too many beers before I shaved my mag catch down and want to replace it (its just kind of loose and it bothers me and the rest of the conversion went so well). So im feeling adventurous and want to replace it. Anyone use a specific surplus mag catch or have experience with a specific one IE Bulgarian, east german etc.. or are they all the same? (I know its a bitch, but I want to do it) as long as it will function nicely with the surplus mags.

Just afraid when I mount the new surplus catch the original hole on the saiga (where the mag catch pin inserts through) will cause the catch to mount too low? Any idea, experiences?

I used the extended mag release from CSS and it droped right in. It does take a little getting used to though. As far as a factory type replacement, they should drop right in but you may still need to do some filing to fit.
