bigbob76 0
I got this non matching number kit that looks different than other Egyptian parts kits I've seen. Can anybody fill me in on this? The handguards are missing, the buttstock has a commercial look to it more than what I'd expect to see on a military Egyptian rifle. If I find out what exactly I have I can start looking for a matching handguard.
akastormi 617
Looks like a cut up Imported Maadi MISR S/A The stock is commercial Maadi with a solid butt plate. The PG doesn't look Egyptian at all, more like a Rommy. They were either poop brown(military) or shiny black (Import). What does it say on the Left side of the Rear sight block? Finding a set of Maadi handguards shouldn't be to bad.
bigbob76 0
1. The buttstock is not laminated. 2. RSB is marked MISR S/A 7.62x39 mm 3. Sight leaf is marked P,and 1 through 10. 4. Muzzle threads are turned down, 1/2x28 here we go.
akastormi 617
You answered your own question; 2. RSB is marked MISR S/A 7.62x39 mm It was an imported gun, cut up. That's the correct buttstock for an MISR S/A
