Look what I found in a box

Check these out guys. As some of you know, Im up in Cadiz doing ebay and gunbroker listings for Tom and Vicki, and I have been coming across a wide variety of stuff to list. I found these last week, and thought I would share a pic of them. these are about 1.5"x3" in size, and came out of a box that had all 1950's dated items in it.

 

Any info or the proper technical name for these would be appreciated.

Hi Ben,

They appear to be printers plates. That's why everything is in reverse.

Possibly used for printing box art.

HI Ben everyone is correct these are printing plates for adds from the mid-late 40s one for remington shotgun shells the other for.22 short cartridges.

I thought maybe there was a different name than printers plates, but I guess that'd be good enough to get gunbroker people's attention....Im starting to wonder how rare these things are for ammo collectors....

 

I tried stamp ink last week, it wouldnt spread right on the plates, so I figured it used press ink instead of the normal hand stamp ink.
