Black92LX 0
alot of AK style weapons do this. that's why you don't here much of people using anything other than cheap commie ammo in them. let alone worring about reloading
stevem 0
Yeah, I think that's pretty much the norm.My Saiga 7.62x39 dents the casing too.I think they hit the edge of the reciever cover when being(violently) extracted. No biggie for me, I'm not into reloading anyway.Wolf ammo is really cheap. hemophilic 0
I've put about 200 rds through mine and had only like 3 or 4 bent casings. I've used mostly wolf steel case but I had some PMC 122 grain brass case that went through without incident.
SammoH 0
After the first 500 rounds, I stopped checking for bent casings (especially since I don't reload 7.62x39). The Russians make the stuff and sell it so cheap, it's pointless for me to reload. I figure, even if the rifle smashes the casings flat like a pancake before ejecting them, let it go on doing it as long as it won't damge the rifle or interfere with the action. I'll tell you though, I think it depends on the gun. I've got a SAR1 that dents the side of every casing that comes out of it. My Saiga only does that to I would guess 1/4 of the ammo I put through it. In any event, don't worry about it unless you intend to reload.
