molodoi 0
Looking for a scope for a 7,62 x 39 and got it down to these 2: - CenterPoint 3-9x40mm Tactical Hunting - CenterPoint 4-16x40mm Scope Price-wise they're comparable, under $80. The rifle is a Saiga 16" 7.62x39. Given the caliber, accuracy, which of these 2 scopes is better suited?
mosher111 1
Option 2 looks the best to keep within your budget. Let us know what you end up going with.
paprotective 362
The tactical one will be shorter and may look better on top.. I went Bushnell 3-9x40 (13" long) on my new S308. was $77 shipped... and it has a BDC cam for 100-500 yds. Was at Wallyworld last week and the Centerpoint 4-16x40 is longer by an inch.. FYI.. jrmock 7
The scopes you have chosen are good for long shooting (50+ yards) however you will be limited if you would like to shoot up close. Since they only zoom down to 3X or 4X your field of view will be limited which makes it tough to find a close in target. I used a Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5X scope for quite a while with my 16" 7.62x39. That scope is $77 from opticsplanet. I was very happy with it and had a lot of fun competing in 3-gun matches with it. I shot at targets from 2 yards out to 400+ yards with it. I zeroed it at 200 yards and just learned the ballistic information on how to do hold-overs for extended ranges. Hope this helps, jrmock
