jimdigriz 580
Besides the barrel-threading kit itself, I need to pick up a pipe cutter for removing the shroud, and some digital calipers for measuring the barrel diameter (so as to determine which threading my barrel can accept). Can anyone recommend good, inexpensive options for these tasks? (I have a dremel already, but don't trust my ability to cut straight). Thanks. Jim
paprotective 362
Lowes has a digital caliper for under $18 (seen some on rack last week).. and has pipe cutters also.. Harbor Freight would be next choice for cheap.. Good luck... and we want a write-up.. Al Edited September 21, 2010 by YWHIC
BigfootHunter 5
On the pipe cutter, make sure you get at least 2 packages of those replacement cutting wheels (and make sure they're not the ones for aluminum or copper pipe). That barrel shroud ate through 4 of them before I got it cut all the way through.
