Gnosticguardian 4
I know I'll catch alot of flak for this probably but as an AR and AK owner and an operator (wishing I could use an AK). I've noticed various strong points and flaws in both systems. I know there's a company who makes .308 Saiga mods to accept AR-10 mags but what about for those of us who still like the 7.62x39? Does anyone have a better solution for a possible mag-well? I know Krebs also made a guide plate but that still doesn't help against that one pesky mag that decides to lock in the release before the lip can catch the reciever. Shandlanos 1,470
I believe Will at Red Jacket makes a steel magazine well (welded - becomes part of your gun permanently) that allows it to use AR-style 7.62x39 magazines. C-Products makes these magazines.

22_Shooter 1,560
From what I've read, those 7.62x39 AR mags can be really finicky. At least the 30 rounders, anyway. I personally wouldn't stray from the tried and true commie steel AK mags. They're cheap, plentiful, and they work. The trade off isn't worth it, IMO.
Gnosticguardian 4
bushmaster actually makes some and I trust bushmaster. by the way, Red Jacket gave me a one sentence reply telling me to stay with my normal mag style. that's not how you treat customers
