MI AK47/74 Handguard/optic combo

FYI in case anyone is looking, I have been doing a lot of research and hadnt seen this MI optic combo http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=294

 

a little $$$ but consider the optic, and handguard. i think when you compare it to others it is about $30 more as it sits now.

I liked the idea of this at first but have found out you have to attach the gastube upper handguard and the railed lower hanguard together on this clamp thing that stradles between the barrel and gastube.

 

It attaches with these allen screws that completely turned me off to the idea. I don't like having to monkey with screws, I want to be able to take down an AK and clean it like you're supposed to be able to, like it was designed to do.

 

Other than this, I get the MI forend myself but I'm getting something else. Everything's so !@#$% expensive, I liked the Ultimak rail because it sits low but it's also too much $ than it's worth to me.
