Saiga rifle conversions vs shotguns

I'm playing with the idea of getting a saiga 308 and converting it. I did a conversion to an s 12 without too many issues. How different is the 308 conversion? Are there additional parts that you need to get or is it more or less the same? Also do the 308's have the same issues with the gas ports not being right or any other issues?

From my understanding, the Saiga 12 and the Saiga rifles (.223, 7.62x39 & .308) Does not share the "Gas" problems, from what I have been told. I have both a S-12 and a .223 and they don't seem to be anything alike on the gas "return" aspect. Good luck!
