Zachman 0
Hey everyone I am modifing my 7.62x39 and i bought a bulgarian stock set. the parts i bought look bad ass but i cannot get the front handgaurds on the damn gun. after reading what sheik said about putting military handgaurds on the thing it sounds nearly impossible. i was wondering if anyone new of a more reasonable way to get them on there or if there was a place to buy ones that look military because with the stock and pistool grips i put on it the old handguards make my saiga look unbalanced as hell, if anyone could help me out i would appreciate it
Sheik Yerbouti 0
I feel your pain, man. Look around for a gun enthusiast who is a welder. A TIG welder can most likely cut the military handguard retainers and weld them up in the correct attitudes for you to hang your military handguards on. I have heard of two people doing this with very successful results. A competent welder can probably complete the task in about an hour.
stevem 0
That sounds like the right wat to do it.I always thought that neatly cutting some vent holes in the Saiga forgrip would jazz it up a bit and give it a more military look, if you can't find a welder.
