jcmacconnell 25
Hey guys. I was considering getting a trijicon reflex sight due to the no battery feature and the ruggedness of the sight. I would use this on my Ultimak rail. Anyone have any experience with this sight or setup. I would run ARMS quick detach mounts so I'm not too worries a out co witnessing. Thanks. Jason I like the idea of the Trijicon reflex sights, but not so much the execution. Too easy to get washout, although I've noticed the newer and bigger models are a bit better in that regard. But they are too big to put that far forward on the gun. You really can't do better than an Aimpoint Micro. They are as rugged as they come, and the battery runs on and on longer than the Energizer Bunny. I just leave mine on all the time. VaiFanatic90 360
I agree with Jim. The Trijicon that far forward would unbalance the gun and make it too muzzle heavy. The Aimpoint Micro is a nice, lightweight alternative, that is excellent on battery consumption. You can't go wrong with it.
Horse 39
Thirded. I love the Reflex - but unless you are talking RMR or the massive RX30 it's old school now instead of great. The Micro is a great sight with uber long battery life, though a dual illumination RMR still strikes me as awesome. My personal AK wears a 1.5X ACOG Compact - but not one of the newer ones I plan on changing that as soon as I can.
