HBrebel 5
Are there any alternatives to the monte carlo buttstock on the sporter rifle? I am happy with my rifle as is for now, I don't want to do any mods to it just yet. But I would like to swap the buttstock out for a skeleton stock or something else a little more comfortable. Any ideas?
gregomega 929
you could try and talk this guy out of his Stock. Someone else already wants the forearm and wouldnt work for your x39 anyway. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=61216 Little pricy for me though
BuffetDestroyer 969
If legal where you live, you can use the thumbhole stock from RAA. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-491/RAAC-SAIGA-12-RIFLES/Detail Otherwise, it turns into a better investment to just fully convert it with enough parts to be compliant. HBrebel 5
well, this rifle is basically part of my SHTF gear, so it basically will remain stashed away. There aren't many places for me to shoot my evil gun around here anyhow, so it lays in waiting until it is needed. Or..........I can simply use the factory buttstock for range shooting and keep the other one handy. Edited February 1, 2011 by HBrebel
HBrebel 5
OK, I know that the skeleton buttstock makes the gun not compliant, so what can be done to make it compliant? I know there are threads all over the place with checklists and all that but I am very lazy and just want to see what any of you guys did to make yours compliant with very limited funds. I don't intend on messing with the trigger assembly unless a U.S. trigger group can be installed without moving anything forward. Like I said, I am lazy and have little dinero for new parts. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would keep the gun factory until I had the money to do a full 922r/Commifornia conversion.
