MLM0358 107 Posted March 1, 2011 Report Share Posted March 1, 2011 I have a brand new S12 and the piston rod slighlty wobbles in the bolt carrier. It's as if the female threads in the bolt carrier are slightly oversized. Is this normal? Should I care? Seems like there will be quite a bit of load on that area during cycling and I'm not sure what the implications are of this slightly loose fit. If not normal, what is the suggested fix, short of welding and retapping, which would be a huge hassle. I have a heavy duty Piston Rod I bought from CSS, but I have not attempted to remove the existing rod yet. BTW, Thanks to all of you old timers for your help on this forum.
