ArnoldRot 0
I live in a suburb of Chicago and unfortunately our state has a law that the overall length of a shotgun must be at least 26". I'm wondering if I can get a folding stock, or if that brings a Saiga 12 with 19" barrel under 26". Hopefully not! Can anyone help me with this dimension? Also, are there adapters to make a standard stock into a folding stock? Seems like something that could exist.. Thanks, Ryan
Mullet Man 2,114
You should be fine. The receiver is a good bit longer then 7". Plus the barrel at 19" minus the small portion of chamber that resides in the receiver. You should be at about 28" before even accounting for the stock. Measure from the end of the receiver to the end of the barrel and you'll get a definite answer. Most states have that same law for rifles ans shotguns.

Milpond 0
You'll be way over that. I just put a 7.5" Ace stock on my 19" Saiga 12 with a folder and .5"recoil pad. It's 28.5" folded and just over 37" extended. Hope that helps.

By living in a gun friendly NFA (National Firearms Act) state (not IL) and paying taxes to the ATF to acquire the proper paperwork to own it legally.
