Both are easy to find and not very expensive either. The lower retainer though, you will need to be sure to get a bolt on one designed for Saigas, you can install a standard AK one, I have done it, but you have to remove the front sight block and gas block to do so. Are you planning on running optics on the quad rail? If so, that one, and any other designed to replace standard AK handguards will not retain zero very well, as the handguards are not mounted solidly enough. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

MARKW1 on this forum is where I got my parts for my 5.45 conversion. Just so you know an AK74 gas tube would also work, that's what he had. I believe he may have more too. He has a thread in the for sale section here. That's where I'd start. Also the EE on AR15.com will have gas tubes pop up often as well. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
wulf 4 Posted April 2, 2011 Report Share Posted April 2, 2011 Also you could look into just a lower tri rail like the one I just installed http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/65465-guntech-lower-tri-rail/ Many quadrails clamp down on the barrel and that's a no go for me since I shoot corrosive/disassemble my gun for a nice cleaning and don't want to take off the hanguard each time I want to remove the gas tube.
