Magazine Problem

My Arsenal SLR-106 (5.56x45mm) came with 2 pre-ban Bakelite mags for the 5.45 that were converted by a local gunshop to shoot 5.56 (this is because I live in NYS and we can only have magazines over 10 rounds manufactured before the AWB of 1994). One of these mags feeds flawlessly, the other is a completely botched job that I refuse to try to get working. They subbed in an AR-15 follower and put it in backwards. I don't shop at that gun store because they are a bunch of idiots, but the guy I bought the Arsenal from had shopped there and picked up these two Franken-mags. I'd like to salvage the botched mag and get a new spring and follower for it. I have 5.45x39's and wouldn't mind making it a 5.45 mag again.

 

Where is the best place to buy 5.45 followers and springs? I assume the springs are the same for any 30 round AK mag, but are followers interchangeable? Most sites I've found don't label their followers so I assume they are the wider 7.62x39 followers. Is there such a thing as a 5.56x45 follower? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Just pick up a cheap surplus mag and take its follower for the bakelite mag.

I can't help with the spring , but I might have a 5.45 follower around. Let me look around and see what I can come up with .
