P lang 51 Posted May 14, 2011 Report Share Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) Shooting anvils looks like great fun , when I saw this on tv I went right out to the garage to look at my anvil , sure enough mine has the concave void in the bottom of it , I kinda had forgotten about this , but theres a couple of farm auctions coming up , I'll be on the look out for another anvil with a with the same feature. I'll probly have to wait till fall though when all the crops are out cause I'm gonna make sure I'm a long way from the house !! blackknight135 9 Posted May 30, 2011 Report Share Posted May 30, 2011 If you try to shoot a cast anvil, it could blow up with plenty of shrapnel to go around. A forged anvil could so if you shoot an anvil you should be a long way away from it. A forged anvil is a very expensive tool to take the chance of destroying. I would not shoot any of mine.
