Anyone familiar with the most current Ma. laws regarding converting a saiga? I know a guy local that sells them converted, but all the posts I read about pistol grip+detachable magazine= Assault weapon... Has the law changed? Is there a loop hole? I just started saving for a new HD gun but if I can't convert than I'll just buy a mossberg 930spx.

Any insight?

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. It wasn't easy, but I got the fuck outta SoKal.

Sorry I'm not answering your questions, I just don't feel like getting depressed by reading Mass firearms law.

Converted S12s are a no-go in MA. There are numerous threads in the gun laws section of northeastshooters.com confirming this. In MA a shotgun cannot have both a pistol grip AND be capable of accepting an external magazine (regardless of how many rounds it holds)
