joek4061 6
Is it me, or is the 223 recoil spring a little beefier than the 5.45 or the 7.62? I have all three standing side by side in my closet and it sure seems like the 223 is a bit more stout. I am guessing a possibility could be that it was designed i bit heavier to handle the 556. Another possibility is that I am just imagining this. Edited November 25, 2011 by Son Of Jared
mancat 2,368
I have noticed that mine is quite stiff, but I assume that's only because it's new. It's about the same as a spring from an unissued Bulgarian '74 kit that I recently received..
Vais01 3
Well I do believe they are stiffer because of the higher pressures generated in the 5.56//.223 case. I've been parts searching all day and with minimal results. K-VAR has the biggest parts selection.
