Hey guys,

Thought that I would share this with you, because I think that it turned out kind of neat.

So, I began looking into ways of improving the stock Mak sights on my Bulgy Mak and decided to experiment with painting them with glossy white paint. I tried some nail polish (base, paint and top coat), but it didn't turn out so well. The paint job turned out to be very soft and could just be peeled off.

I stopped by Ace Hardware and picked up a few tiny cans of this hobby enamel, along with some small brushes. It took me a few tries to get the paint job just right. The trick is to be very careful and to apply just the right amount of paint. I had to start over a few of times. Luckily, that stuff is really easy to wipe off using some Acetone, even after it's dried.

I also restored the red "safety off" dot using the same paint. So far, everything is holding on there rather well, even after some light oiling and silicone cloth polish.

Any way, here are the pictures:

That's kool! Wish I liked those type of sights though. I could never get used to those type of sights, be it all black, white, or whatever. Takes me forever to alight the sight.

They are pretty tiny, but they sure are a whole lot easier for me to line up now! Made a big difference..
