poolingmyignorance 2,191
I found a used remmy 700 in 270 win with a sling, and hot pressed birdcage style break. It comes with a nikcon buckmaster 3x9x40 scope. They are asking $479. But I'm sure $400 flat will walk with it. It's synthic black stock. Sound like a square deal? jcx39 28
Probably not a bad deal. It looks in good shape?
theorangeplanet 968
I'm a big fan of .270... I'd much rather have that in a bolt than any military caliber. I'm not sure what the going prices are for 700s, but like with any other used rifle check the bore, work the action, and feel the trigger. If all is good and you're comfortable with the price then go for it.
armalite_ar50 86
checked out some remmy 700's yesterday @ gander Mt. they were 479.00 and up new. ( no extras like yours) two were 270's I was only looking since I just bought a 700 PSS in 308 from a friend and wanted to see if they had one and what they wanted for it. Gander is always on the high side of firearms prices so if you can score it for 400 OTD go for it.
RobRez 1,895
.270 is a Great hunting cal. but if it is to be your only bolt gun, I think in the rural areas we hunt here, 30-06 is a more common cal. and has the one benefit of "Bieng Everywhere", so if you forget ammo, or it falls out of the rig somewhere, you can always find it. If that is not a worry for you, then get it, you won't be dissapointed.
