The gas block does not have the lug for the rod to pass through. The rod does seem to stay secure with just the bayo lug and front retaining groves. I don't seem to have any rattling issues either. Just curios to what you guys are doing? I don't really want to spend money on having a new GB installed...not right now anyway!
