nhresident 19
I bought a factory grip (molot style) from another forum member. It seems like it wont be compatible with a tromix/css DIY trigger guard. Is my assumption correct? I'm wondering what DIY trigger guard will work. And by work, I mean wont get in the way of the bushing + screw i need to buy for the new grip. Edited April 13, 2012 by nhresident
Mullet Man 2,114
Are you planning on cutting a square hole in the receiver for a traditional AK pistol grip nut and screw setup?
nhresident 19
Are you planning on cutting a square hole in the receiver for a traditional AK pistol grip nut and screw setup? I am considering cutting the hole, but I'd like the option of a DIY trigger guard that will let me mount it. I'm not sure how confident I'm going to be cutting into my 030 receiver. nhresident 19
If I do cut the hole, which trigger guard should I purchase? I have no rivet capability, nor welding.
Mullet Man 2,114
Its not hard to do. Drill a whole in the correct spot and file to fit. I dont know about the Tromix for sure but i do know you can modify the RAM guard by cutting off the bushing part. Thats what i have on mine with a traditional grip nut and screw. There is also the option of using the MD Arms guard.
