Kvar bulletguides: http://www.k-var.com/subcatmfgprod.asp?0=216&1=226&2=-1&6=1 Try emailing 2ND GUNMAN for a finished bulletguide at a cost comparable to Kvar that will not need mods. As far as large capacity mags go you can either follow the steps on the conversion steps sitet, try the synthetic .223 Galil mags at CDNN, or modify some Bulgarian .223's available at Kvar. CDNN for Galil mags: http://www.cdnninvestments.com/galil.html Kvar Bulgarian .223 mags: http://www.k-var.com/product.asp?0=202&1=204&3=12 East Germ AK-774 mags: http://www.northridgeinc.com/sp_mags.htm The AK-74 mags require installation of a Rob Arms .223 follower and mods as shown in the conversion chart. If all else fails I can part with a couple of my modified Bulgarians for what i have in them plus shipping. But I think you can do this, and knowing how will be self sufficient for future needs and wants. Hope this helps. Wolverine Edited September 16, 2005 by Wolverine
hhawk20005 0
Woulverine, Thanks so much! Where exactly would i find a how to for the Galil .223 mags? I appreciate your help! And is it true that that Galil 50 round mag will fit? Also, what would you reccomend as "easy, or beginer" mods to make that hi cap mag legal? I thought that you neded 4 US parts, but G3 corrected me and told me that it was 5.. Thansk Matt

If you use Tapco's G-2 trigger system that is three parts. Add a US buttstock and grip and there you have compliance. Don't buy steel Galils (including the 50 rd) as they won't work without very complcated changes that are still being worked on. Buy the cheap synthetics as they hold 35 rounds and will snap in the S- .223. Contact IndyArms on these as I think he bought some and is using them. Mods are minimal. You have to trim the raised nub sides toward the feedpoint to fit into the gun. Also you may have to put a little JB weld under the backside locking tab to tighten the fit. That's it. The Bulgarians require more trimming but are a good choice. The AK-74's are cheap and the conversion steps tells you what to do. Wolverine
