notadrone 5
I recently acquired a Romanian folding wire stock and it is missing the folding hardware and sling mount. It is also not tapped for the mounting screw closest to the rear trunion. 1 where can i find the push button hardware? 2 how does that attach? 3 I know nothing about this and all assistance would be greatly
BigChongus 765
I'm pretty sure Cope's has the rest of the parts for that. Those are Polish, but they should be interchangable. Yep, just checked - search "tantal stock" on Cope's site and you should get what you need. Edited May 30, 2012 by W8lifter
notadrone 5
W8lifter, thanks for the reply. I see that copes has parts, but i am not confident about what parts to order to make it complete. I will have to contact copes to see if they can help. thanks. looks like these are the parts needed, Does the lockspring mount over the pistol grip nut and make this secure? I dont see how the one screw in the tang secures this from wobbling. http://www.copesdistributing.net/polish-tantal-folding-stock-catch-p-4304.html http://www.copesdistributing.net/polish-tantal-folding-stock-catch-p-4303.html http://www.copesdistributing.net/polish-tantal-folding-stock-lever-p-4302.html http://www.copesdistributing.net/polish-tantal-folding-stock-lockspring-p-4308.html http://www.copesdistributing.net/polish-tantal-folding-stock-screw-p-4309.html I am not sure what this is for. I dont think I need it. http://www.copesdistributing.net/polish-tantal-folding-stock-p-4235.html Edited May 30, 2012 by notadrone
SLR 10
Hi! I saw your post in the Cobra's Custom latch kit thread and wanted to tell you that is not the correct part for a wire folding stock. Those parts are for converting your saiga to a 100 series folder. Good luck! SLR

Agent Lemon 157
NUMRICH gunpartscorp should have stuff. I ordered extra screws for the East German wire folder stock. When it arrived, the yellow piece of paper said East German / Romanian. I THINK it said that. I think that it should be interchangeable either way. ill keep updating this post cause im busy right now ETA: this is what you need (first picture): was "Original unissued parts kit for the East German thumb lever side folding stock. Kit includes a lever, latch, pin, spring and plate. Quantities are limited." on gunparts, but its sold out now. they still had the screws when i ordered though, so maybe they just sell it all separately now. Oh and only the rear hole in the stock has a tapped hole for a screw. only one screw holding the whole thing together. the PG nut goes through the piece of metal instead of the first screw. i trust you looked very well through the package that came? it should have had hardware unless advertised as not having it. i kind of want to know WHERE you bought that stock? ETA2 gunpartscorp only has the pictured parts + the screw (second picture). maybe you can find the rest elsewhere Edited June 6, 2012 by Agent Lemon

It had pictures but I obviously overlooked it missing crucial parts. I have returned the stock and put money into a new forearm for now. I had a limited amount of time to find the correct parts or return it. I will get a complete stock down the road or piece one together from copes. Thanks for the help
Agent Lemon 157
make sure to get an actual romanian or east german, not a tantal. the tantal needs a special trunnion I think, while the romy/east german are truly drop-in. I'm just sayin, cause it is a cool stock to have. i have one on one of my 762s. although if you dont buy one then there will be more left for me, which is great considering the price hike on the things .
