IZ 132 7.62 Stock Question

Does this rifle have the Dang Tang to mess with and the slanted fit? Do I need to get an adapter? Do replacement stocks fit as is? I was thinking of starting out with the Tapco T-6 folding stock conversion kit from CSS. Thanks in advance for helping a noob doing his first mod on his first "real" rifle. EDITED: this is a 2009 year model

No slant cut. Yes, there is a tang. No you wont need an adapter for any of the normal AKM type butt stocks. Some folding stock mechanisms need an adapter. Replacement stocks will fit as is.

My personal suggestion is to look at something other then Tapco butt stocks.

 

CSS is one of the best for getting parts from, so you're good to go there.

Thanks for your reply! I will follow your advice and find another butt stock since I wasn't sure which one I wanted anyway. It is one of the hardest decisions I ever made in my life, lol. Do you have a personal favorite that isn't the most expensive model?

I do have a favorite and its the standard KVAR butt stocks. My favorite folding butt stock is the AK 100 series folders but they are the most expensive and hardest to install.

 

Take a look at the picture thread in the 7.62x39 section and you'll get a lot of ideas on what you might like.

 

Tapcos work, i just think money should be spent for a little better quality, thats all.

Thanks, when I said Tapco folding stock, I meant Collapsable stock. I will look around; I don't really want an original type,
