skullface405420 45
hey there. been talkin bout how i got this saiga for 380$ used at a pawn shop, figured it was a hell of a good deal. then i got home and figured FUCK i thought something was different....kinda disapointed IT IS A 20 inch barrel... i immediatly noticed that it had NO bolt hold open...it is unconverted now self converted by me. BUT my question is on the left side of the receiver by the trunion is 93-serial number xxxx and im thinking..maybe thats the date it was manufactured ?? if anyone could give me alot of facts or info in the short history saigas have been made it'd be appreciated like some good solid informative stuff i probley didnt know. like for instance...do they start the serials at 0000001? anywho, it also didnt even have a square cutout for the pistolgrip nut ethier so that was a beech...but i figured the not haveing bolt hold open was worthy of mentioning... it also doesnt seem to have the CANTA mark by the safety lever like my others do. sowhat6565 20
my 20 inch barrel is set up the exact same way. so was my used 20ga. no b.h.os or p-g nut holes. just a dremel tool away on the nut hole and notch the safty lever if you need the b.h.o. figured they were OLDER models but were cheap enough to redo. enjoy
vulcan16 971
Most AKs don't have a BHO. Count yourself lucky, less to go wrong and the restoration is easier. Yugo mags have the last round BHO, or modify the safety if you think it needs one.
