supersampson12 0 Posted August 31, 2012 Report Share Posted August 31, 2012 I purchased a bullet guide for my saiga 5.45 rifle and never got around to installing it since my surplus mags will feed without it. Is this 5.45 bullet guide the same design as a .223 bullet guide? I've got some galil mags for my .223 saiga and it needs a bullet guide. So will it work or do I need to buy a .223 specific one? mancat 2,368 Posted August 31, 2012 Report Share Posted August 31, 2012 They are different. The 5.45 guide has two small notches in the front, the .223 guide is a flat ramp. You're going to have to drill and tap the trunnion any way, so you might as well try it. If it doesn't work, get a .223 guide from the same maker as your 5.45 guide, so that the hole will be in the same place. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
