  1. counterboring your barrel or replacing it seems like your best bet. Trailboss works great with 308 subs.
  2. I purchased a bullet guide for my saiga 5.45 rifle and never got around to installing it since my surplus mags will feed without it. Is this 5.45 bullet guide the same design as a .223 bullet guide? I've got some galil mags for my .223 saiga and it needs a bullet guide. So will it work or do I need to buy a .223 specific one?
  3. Does your saiga have mag dimples or is it the smooth side? Also what bullet guide are you using? I tryed galil mags from apex in my saiga and I'm having troubles. The bullet guide I'm using is from CSS and is for a 5.45 saiga. Is there a big difference between a 5.45 and 5.56 bullet guide? Beryl mags seem to work alot better than these Galil's. I think the springs may need to be replaced, because the last few rounds are the ones that get jammed.
  4. how difficult was the installation? is that a MSA adapter?
  5. Would it be wise to just buy a bulgarian ak74 parts kit to convert my saiga and sell the left overs? or just purchase each part individually? I have a saiga in 5.45 and 7.62, im wanting to convert the 7.62 first. I already have tapco triggers and pistol grips, im thinking i need a US gas piston to be legal i suppose. If i press on the threaded FSB i need to add another US part? I really want the classic look with the wood furniture and the cleaning rod. Will the bulgarian FSB's fit on all saigas or will i need to fit them to the barrel?
  6. So can we get these in the USA for a reasonable price?
  7. got some more mags from aim surplus, these are all black circle 10's they will feed and lock up tight. very hard to release though do i need to file my mag catch?
  8. would the bulgarian .223 mags fit in a saiga without mods? in a 223 rifle of course...
  9. got the mags and they look good and fit with no wobble, i will definantly need a bullet guide though. It will not feed the first round.
  10. i ordered some plastic polish mags from copes and a tin of ammo. ill see if these work, if not ill get some bulgarians from centerfire. not too worried about it, they should all fit right?
  11. will bulgarian 74 mags work in a 223? I was thinking about getting one too.
  12. I think i saw a tool for cleaning the gas block somewhere, maybe Copes. It looks like a pointy allen wrench.
  13. I just got a saiga 5.45 and need to get some surplus mags for it. which mags work the best? ive seen the bulgarians, polish steel and plastic, AIM had some for 10 bucks a while back but now they are 15. I have heard that some dont need a bullet guide. I will probably install one anyways. What do yall recommend and who has them at the best price? thanks.
