twoskinsoneman 72
Hi. I recently installed a TWS dog leg rail on my 7.62x39. I know I have seen at least one pic on this site somewhere of a rifle with this on it but I cannot find it now. I was hoping folks would be willing to post a pic of there setup with an explanation of what kind of rear site you use, what kinda of optic you use, (I'll be installing some kind of red dot), and if you can co-witness. Thank you!
waldo18 0
When/if I ever receive my vortex strikefire I'll try to post a pic. I have the TWS peep and I'm waiting for my red only red dot before taking it out to sight in.
redbaron 5
I use the peep sight that TWS sells to go with the dogleg rail, but I think any peep sight that would attach to a picatinny rail would work just fine. The TWS peep is low enough that I can cowitness with the Bushnell red dot I have mounted on the rail. The only downside (and it's not really a big one) is that you can't adjust the TWS peep for windage or elevation. You have to do all that at the front sight, which basically means zero it for a 300 yd. battle zero and leave it at that. With the ability to mount optics, the irons are just there for back up anyway
