Tactical_T 6
For those of you with a Vepr 12 that are swapping out the Russian FCG for a US-made FCG, what FCG are you using? I'm assuming a Tapco G2, but I'm not sure if a standard Tapco G2 would work on a Vepr 12. Any info would be appreciated?
hdskumm 39
G2 modified for the LRBHO works fine
gunfun 3,931
Other option is RSA trigger for a fancy more expensive choice. I have the S12 version and a G2 in another S12. Users of either in V12 are happy.
Tactical_T 6
G2 modified for the LRBHO works fine I don't know what LRBHO means. CSS has this one. Is this what I need? http://www.carolinashooterssupply.com/product_p/css-saiga-trigger-group.htm Edited October 19, 2013 by Tactical_T
HighPlainsDrifter 466
G2 modified for the LRBHO works fine I don't know what LRBHO means. Who sells this? LRBHO (Last Round Bolt Hold Open), comes stock on a Vepr-12. hdskumm, I'm curious about what you mean by the G2 needing to be modified for the LRBHO. Tell me more... hdskumm 39
File the hammer axle down on one side so it clears the BHO. The plain G2's won't clear, but you can buy the pre-modified tromix version for a little more. C.S.S used to have a diagram showing the difference's, but I couldn't find it. I just filed mine down to match the dimensions of the stock hammer. Tactical T, that is the modified one that will drop right in, the one you have to file is around $29 Edited October 19, 2013 by hdskumm
gunfun 3,931
Filing is better it gets you a custom fit without extra play. OP- the trigger job link in my signiture line shows how it all goes. and has the pictures mentioned above. V12 has a few minor differences, but they should be fairly obvious. It's shaved on the right side and on top by the pin area below the hammer striking area.
Tactical_T 6
Thanks for the confirmation on that CSS offers. I'm gonna go ahead and place an order for that and a couple other items next week.

gunfun 3,931
True, but that can be a part of installing any trigger, and is true for an optimized G2 as well, which is the most popular alternative stateside.
