storm6490 2,768
Depends on how it shoots and looks. Any photos?
dashowdy 141
working on photos, she looks pretty good, I dont think it spent too much time in the back of a patrol car if thats what you mean. It has been handled and shot some but very little for the number of years it was in service. The feed ramps and the rifling looked beautiful. It is a 1 in 9 but I am a cheap ass so its good that it will handle 55 and 62 just fine, but whats max bullet weight on this barrel 65 to 69 grains, I have heard folks using some 70 + but certain kinds with a specfic bullet profile. I could have bought a 6920 brand new, but the carry handle and the balance of the heavy barrel just felt so good to hold. Hopefully will have pics up by end of the week. Now just start shopping for AMMO. Edited November 12, 2013 by dashowdy
Arik 565
The Colt Hbar A3 with detachable carry handle? I have one of those! Great rifle. My too was a police rifle. All kinds of scratched up but I dont care its only the finish. When I got my it was dirty but once cleaned you could tell it wasnt shot a whole lot. The O rings were good and overall not a lot of internal wear. You can shoot heavy bullets in it. Its not like the rifle will blow up or something. Its just that typically 1/9 twist doesnt stabalize the heavier stuff as well as the 1/7. This is a per rifle and per shooter basis. Typically all that happenes is your accuracy suffers a little. Buy some quality ammo and try.
