scattergun10 125
FMJ in this caliber is already designed to tumble and makes a rather nasty wound channel, so really what's the point of HP ammo? (or SP for that matter)
Shandlanos 1,470
Pretty sure HP/SP exist because people will buy it. The only practical use I can think of for it is use at indoor rifle ranges that do not allow FMJ.
mscottrogers 56
hunting as well. I know some states don't allow hunting with FMJ
scattergun10 125
hunting as well. I know some states don't allow hunting with FMJ Can you legally hunt with 5.45x39? (deer or hogs for instance) I know some states require that hunters use at the very least a .22 caliber. Isn't 5.45x39 technically a .21 caliber? Obviously you wouldn't hunt deer with something like .22LR though. I'm pretty sure that's illegal everywhere because it's considered inhumane.
mscottrogers 56
some states wont let you shoot deer unless its 308. Guess its state by state. Out west 223 is popular for varmits like rabbit and coyote. So the russian would be similar.
thebuns1 4,323
I can hunt here with ANY center fire cartridge.
beefcakeb99 572
It is .221-.222" and -x- and his war poodle over on the akf hunt deer every year with hornady ammo. The testing proves that hp/sp release much more energy much sooner on target.
