havok209 0
I'm looking to fit flip up back up sights on my rifle after I remove the front sight assembly. However, I was wondering if there any combinations of dust cover rails and hand guard top rails that are on the same plane. I was thinking about going with a Midwest Industries hand guard. Basically looking for anything that lines up with one of those. Thanks
forsaken352 235
I can't say whether it would line up with the Midwest rail, but these two certainly look like they line up to me. Unfortunately, the handguard is currently on backorder, but you never know where you might find a certain gun part/accessory from. It doesn't always have to be from the manufacturer's website. Good luck! http://www.texasweaponsystems.com/product-p/32310.htm http://www.texasweaponsystems.com/product-p/34310.htm (says you need a .600 OD barrel. I'm not sure what the Saiga .223 is, so measure.)
Vance665 225
Kinda off topic but I have a Chaos rail on my S-12 and found a polymer Magpul rail attached to the dust cover is perfectly level and I run backup sights like that. I wanted to do the same as you with my S-223 but its difficult. The TWS hinged top cover and their rail (dont know if TWS rail is even available) is the closest to a continuous rail. The only other setup I found would be to install a front sight gas block and run a tech sight rear sight on the back of the dust cover. Then replace your factory rear sight with an addero mount and a red dot. I think an rs regulate would work too.

Even if they're not exactly the same place there should be enough of an elevation adjustment in what ever front sight you use to make any slight difference.
