Gas Ports

Saiga 12 19", While looking down the barrel, very shiny but see 3 small slash markes in the barrel. I assume these are the gas ports. They are below the tube area. Just don't remember seeing anything like this in other AK variants. What is normal?

Yes, thats normal. And, if you can see three without any difficulty, maybe even slightly better than normal;)

if you want a better look unscrew the gas plug and put a paper clip through em, its easy

there are three small holes instead of one large hole, to keep the gas block from filling up with sliced up pieces of wadding.....
