  1. I almost feel as if maybe the hole is too small for the tap to fit in but everyone else seems to be able to do it just fine.
  2. How much shorter is a Saiga with a NATO lenght AK stock than one with the factory Monte Carlo stock? I have a PSOP on an AK mount and there is not enough eye relief with the factory stock. I wonder if I were to use a NATO lenght stock if there would be. Thanks! I have an SVD mount for it already.
  3. How do you get the tap to start? I could not get that tap to start for the life of me.
  4. Hello, I started the tapping portion of the bullet guide mod today. I am using one of Dinzag's kits. I drilled though the trunion with the supplied bit very quickly. I tried to tap them with the supplied tap. I put the tap in a tap wrench and then placed it in the hole I had drilled and started to turn. Nothing happend so I pushed down a little harder and turned the tap again with no result. So I kept pushing down harder and turing 7-8 times with no results until I pushed down so hard my tap broke in half. I used oil and I turned clockwise. What size tap do I need and where is a good
  5. I drilled though using a hand drill and a set of Black and Decker drill bits I borrowed from work. The 1/4" bit on the rear pins took a few seconds a piece. The plate took freakin forever, I finally just used the quarter inch bit for everything. As for the spot weld I just used an old flat head screw driver and a few firm wacks with my trusty nylon hammer. Really firm. The .223 has the pistol grip nut hole already and the x39 has the mag well dimples. I just gotta figure out how Ima get that pistol grip hole cut out of the x39 and I will be all set to leave it in my safe untill I can
  6. You can get a 10" 2/3hp Craftman drill press at sears right now for 89.99 damn you......now i want to go to sears...... trying to save money for guns, not more tools......my wife thinks i am crazy regarding both....... It looks like a really decent press for the money. I checked out Harbor Freight, Northern Tool and Sears yesterday and the Craftsman seemed alot nicer than the other two. The NT one obviously looked better than the HF one as well.
