  1. I guess that explains why you didn't have the ability to pursue a career in the sciences. I carry a .45 as well and I don't have to wear polyester pants. I'm sorry I'll use smaller words for you in the future, maybe then you won't define the appropriate terminology as "cute verbiage." With respect to "shock treatment bs," What are you f'ing Ahmish? How is it you managed to turn a computer on? Must be a Mac. I realize the reality of science is hard for you to grasp, but it is the way your body works, no matter how hard you squint your eyes and click your heels together. Because you do
  2. With all due respect I don't think you understand the physiology of vision. Any bright light is going to ruin your night vision for a period of time. It's not a debate point. If you're in a room with lights on in the country and walk outside in starlight it will take upto 30 minutes until your maximal night vision is reached. The jist of it is the ganglia and bipolar cells of the cones in the fovea actually switch over and allow rods to use their pathway, increasing light sensitivity dramatically and eliminating color response. This synaptic change takes upto 30 minutes. It's not a matter of a
  3. A307 that was a pretty funny post. Are you able to flash gang signs with both hands at the same time while showing a gold tooth? The point behind the laser isn't to give a precise aiming point, we're talking about a shotgun afterall, nor would I intend it to somehow frighten an intruder. The reason I'd use one in such a case is to reinforce where my aiming point really is as I'm schtumping through my dark house trying to focus on who it really is I may be punching a hole through. Your vestibular system, proprioceptors and visual system combine information to tell you where you arms and
  4. Since when can you own a gun in the UK that isn't powered by springs or air?
  5. What lasers hold up to a 12's recoil? I'd like to put a laser, flashlight and front vertical grip on mine with the intent of it only being a fun gun, home defense gun and when all the zombies come at the end of the Mayan calander. I'm having a hard time deciding on which flashlight, mount and grip to use and where to source it from. Looking around on AR15.com etc. just has way too much information to go through, I simply don't have the time anymore. Suggestions would be cool. Price isn't a big concern. I'd much rather pay 50% more and not get something made in China being sold by someon
  6. Just curious if there's any expected timeline for when MAA will have your Shark Brakes. I've got an order for a bunch of converson parts I've been waiting on for a couple months now that was apparently being held on availability of the brake. Apparently MAA is next to impossible to reach right now so I thought maybe the horses mouth might be a better place to check. Thanks
  7. I've been pretty happy with my safe from Patriot safes. They're actually made by Merlo safes. Something else to consider about a safe is how heavy it is. If you buy a flimsy safe you'd see in a Home Depot etc. The thief can probably just pick up the whole safe and take it with them. I think mine is about 1300 lbs. and wedged into a tight spot in the house where there's no room to swing an axe or use large tools.
  8. A bit high? HA! A shop around here has a few on the wall for $799 Okay then the price is pretty good . I was just thinking of the days not long ago when they were $300-$400. Anyway I'd have to give kudo's to Gilbert's for good service and fast shipping as well. I ordered it Saturday over the phone and it was at my FFL in MN on the 24th.
  9. Although a bit high on price GilbertsGuns seems to have quite a few. $599 for IZ 109's
  10. How's that for f'ed up. Sheesh. Let me guess, Bill was hoping to sell his own glue on brakes instead, so he badmouthed the ones people wanted? Just as a random thought, wouldn't it stick in his craw more if you were still making them and everyone used yours despite his badmouthing? It seems like there's still quite a bit of demand as people chuckle about the glue on or set screw versions. I'd happily post over on the Beowulf forums how much I love my Tromix brake if I could get a hold of one! It's a thought and I'd pay well : )
  11. Where can one find the Muzzle Brakes Tromix was making for Beowulf .50's? I don't know if you still make them and if there's a particular vendor that sells them or what but I'd really love to get my hands on one.
  12. Is there a waiting list to get on the waiting list in October?
  13. Does this mean you might be opening up orders for new guns pretty soon?
  14. Atlantic has them listed but they said they don't have any stock and don't know of anyone that does. They have no estimates on getting any either. I'll look at gunbroker. Edit: I looked at gunbroker and it looks like most of those are from Elite Firearms in Texas which doesn't appear to have a good enough reputation to give a penny to. Tromix appeared to stop taking new orders as well. Sounds like there's a good opening in the market for a qualified smith.
  15. Hello, I've recently got the bug to get a saiga 12 after seeing some video of them in action and reading reviews of them. Atlantic Firearms has a couple versions that I'd love to grab, RAK, Tromix or MP as they list them but unfortunately according to them nobody has any to sell and I need to keep calling back every month or two to see if any become available. As the experts on all things Saiga I figured this is the place to ask, does any vendor currently have these available for sale or is the supply temporarily drained? Thanks
