  1. i have done this conversion with the amd 63 folding stock and front grip be ware you have to remove th whole tang thing and cut in to your reciever you also have to rivit the rear trunion in so you will need access to an arbor press and the long rivits from russia in the end you get an awsome "saiga 63" the small stock is the only draw back

    i have been to alaska fishing and working in a cannery throughout south east alaska and the allutians and there arnt that many russians
  3. i have been considering a stimp catch like mag well that has the same angle as the stimp catch on the back of the mag well can some one bust out a protractor and give me a mesurement for that angle --jp
  4. rivit in stocks are the only why to go or streight stocks that slip on to a tang

    saiga 12/amd 63

    the front of the hanguard is not succured in the pic but normaly it is seccured by a modified handgurad retainer plate that fits over the barrel behind the gas block and i did all of the conversion my self
  7. i saw the pic of the new saigas with the mag well and adjustable rear sight like a ak 47 has any one done this it would look awsome

I have not finished striping off the phosphate coating yet I am going to either refinish it in "black-T" or "guncoat" It is awesome and very controllable although reduced recoil slugs are a must with the small butt pad has any one else done this besides coles gun works check out the similarity 1st dremmil out the tanged receiver block Next rivet in the amd rear receiver block using long rivets from k-var and mill out a slot in the right side of the receiver so that the stock can fold properly Finally to get the front hand guard to fit properly you have to dremm
  9. has any one attached a ak lower handguard to a siaga 12? i am currently attempting to get an amd 63 hand guard to my siaga do amd hand guards use standard ak hand guard retainers? i have already riveted a amd 63 stock on and it looks great

I am seriously considering domestically manufacturing high quality 8 rd saiga mags and I am wondering who many people would be interested Please let me clarify I am a saga fan and am interested in the demand please send me an e-mail @ jpbred@ix.netcom.com telling me how many you would be interested in so that I can tabulate and see if the numbers work out.
