I've shot both, a lot, carried both , will take the AK any day of the week, and just to open the door a little bit more, those who seem to want to restrict the Ak to being a 200 yard rifle really need to get out and do some long range shooting with one.. like 500 yds...it will blow your mind... it's a damn fine weapon, some makes are much better then others, Mine is an Arsenal INC Milled rec with a ultimak gas tube/rail and with my Luppy scout scope on it, it is just flat sweet... but yes I have AR's too, and one in X39 that is a shooter too. love the round and the AK.... I've used nothing but Wolf 223 and X39 for years, never had a problem with it, I've shot the MGM Ironman 4 times and never a glitch, and frankly, it will shoot right down there with my abilities. I do like the poly stuff they make now, but I never had a problem with the laqured stuff like some folks seem to talk about, and I've shot my bushy upper on a friends 16 lower, 90 rounds full auto with no let up except to change mags, still no problems. You don't shoot till "YOU" think they are stopped, you shoot till "THEY" think they are stopped.... and as above,ask to have your lawyer present when you answer their questions...they will then say...Do you think you need a lawyer? don't start talking, just ask to have your lawyer there and shut up... you can say you shot to protect your family and yourself.. that's all they need to know... Do not think they are your friend, they are not. maybe in a small town where you and the Sheriff went to school together etc etc you might be fairly safe but otherwise no and maybe not then.

Well, should just lurk and keep out of this but... first as a former LEO I can say the training today is only about 100 K better then back in my day..aka the stone age... BUT, IMHO today's LEO academy's are turning out a new breed who are taught that everything is US against THEM...US has a badge, THEM don't, one of my long time friends put himself thru the academy paying out of his own pocket to make a better life for his family, I still love him like a brother but in truth he's turned into a badge happy prick, if I make a joke about green brownies or cookies he gets all bent out of shape...

Been lurking a while but no posts...anyway I got my S 12 from Larry at Fuzzy Bunny Guns after shooting with him at IM, shot the IM with it last year, I have 17 AGP mags, they and my S 12 worked like a Swiss watch, after that IM I shot a couple local 3 gun matchs and still had not cleaned the mags, full of IM dust ( if you been there you know what I mean) still no problems, I did clean them after that My point is I was almost ready to head for the IM and no mags, I called AGP on a sunday night and left a message stating my problem, I got a call back that evening from I guess the owner say
