I cut part of the shroud off today and look what I found. Has anyone ran a suppressor with these factory threads? Are they concentric from the factory? Any experience with that? If not, which brake works the best?

I was going to leave the front sight on and just cut the shroud off in front of it to expose the threads. Seems like a safer route to go but I'm not sure.

I have read a lot and searched throughout the forum but I am still not sure where to cut. I have 2 saiga 7.62 x 39's and the just don;t look right without a flash hider or brake. One of the barrels is already threaded under the shroud and one is not. I'm going to tackle the threaded one first and I need some advice. How far down should I cut the shroud? How much space should I leave from the front sight post to expose the proper amount of threads.? How far should I cut down on the other one to attempt a thread job myself? I am not worried about stocks and rails and stuff, I can pick all that easy. I'm more concerned with internals and what makes it run properly.

I have converted several 7.62x39's but never a saiga12. I just ordered one and it should be here this week so I want to ask from you guys who know more, what mods do you guys suggest to make it perform at it's best and be as reliable as possible? I'm plan to run some shots through it, enough to break it in before I consider any mods but want to hear what you guys have had luck with.

Mine showed up the other day. It's really nice. Haven't got the conversion done yet but will get it in as soon as I do I will get it on.

I have the red set. Fit is good and finish is good. The pistol grip really doesn;t too well but face it, I bought it for looks. I took it in to the gun store and they all fell in love and had 2 offers to buy it. If you like it in teh pictures, you will like it in person.

Please forgive my ignorance but I'm not too familiar with ak aftermarket items. Are you saying get all of the above? I shouldn't need the low side mount and the Texas WS rail should I? Are you saying buy all of the above or to pick and choose?

I have recently done a conversion on a saga 7.62x39. I want to attach an EOTech to use as an optic. What are some suggestions from you guys that would work well as a rail? I still have the original saiga handguard and gas tube. I would prefer to lose the handguard but keep the stock gas tube but if I have to replace the gas tube I can. You guys have any recommendations?

Does anyone know how much length the folding mechanism and internal block add to the length of the stock?

I am converting a 7.62x39 and want to put a folding stock on it. I want to go with the Ace skeleton stock, 8.5. What is needed to turn this into a folding stock? What folding mechanism do you guys suggest? I don't want a cheap platic piece that easily breaks with use, I want something that will hold up to hard use.
