That looks just right for an AK reload.
-
Think of each slot or hole as a rocket nozzle. You are thrusting your barrel Forward and up. You want to be thrusting forward and down: the opposite of muzzle flip and recoil.
-
Does that expand the O.D. of the loaded shell?
-
FYI: Your comp is upside down. The way you have it mounted increases muzzle flip.
-
They do look nice. I've got a practical plus that I switched out some stuff on. I wish you could get proper European style swords to the standards of quality and price of the Hanwei swords, even if they are really only up to light cutting.
Have you made that fuller whistle yet? (Or Bo Hi if you that makes you feel better.)
-
That's disconcerting. Is that steel?
-
Probably the easy way is just put those scope rings on the shotgun barrel.
-
You're going to mount an AR on your shotgun? Cool.

since the thing is obviously a fake designed to cause racial conflict why not just take the picture down Mr. Vampatela? Why spread the damage caused by a lie?
-
Looks very good with that stock and forend.
except for the adapter block seems needlessly long and maybe puts a crooked angle on the stock.
Would it be possible to cut that square at the back and bolt the stock up shorter?

MMMM. That is a beautiful AK,

I'ts a sloth. When I worked in the felony division of the prosecutor's office, we had a bunch of beanie babies to give to kids. (hint, kids who are being interviewed in the felony division are not having happy experiences) We each kept at least one at our desk to give to the kids and sort of as a personal mascot/avatar. I figured the sloth would fit me.

A fair representation of sight picture. the camera flash made glare on the back which hides the clear contrast visible to the eye.

It's nice that they have a second setscrew now. Don't forget the locktite.

You need this kind of kit on one of those lights. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?168617-Master-thread-of-firestarting-flashlight-setups

I like that. You need to start a thread about " how are you prepared for the Mogwai Apocalypse"
I am prepared by owning most of their albums, so they will probably allow me to be an Vichy governor. They probably won't mind the green laser on my '109.

I like to see people make something their own.
Doesn't the laser block part of your sight picture though?

That's how you know it's fiction.
Highly marketable fiction to a lucrative and booming demographic.

Your saiga is less than three what? Finish the thought, man.

cool.

Good, but we need to see you holding it to see how natural the alignment is.
-
I made mine from a solid piece of 3/4" plate. The angle is my own... between the 90 and the 45 frame.
To me, a very short length of pull is comfortable and desirable for practical reasons. if the action is closer to your shoulder, the natural orientation of your wrist changes. Angel got it right when they designed their guns around a massive tank, then Automags came with the Z and Y grips to match other shouldering positions. With firearms, recoil management dictates a certain amount of your posture too. I have found that I like very vertical grips on several guns, including a S&W target .22 I own, so since I was personalizing my gun, why not choos an angle most comfortable to me.
I wanted it to be comfortable whether shouldtered or held riot gun style, so completely vertical wouldn't work. As it is now, angel grips won't work because of the angles and contours.
-
It works flawlessly, and can be operated with the index finger or off hand easily too.

Undecided. I will probably add walnut panels color matched to the other furniture.

Thanks.
Already done. I just took the pictures before painting, so that the contrast would make it easier to see. Painted, it looks as though it was installed at factory. I am sure that people who are not already familiar with kalashnikovs would assume that the factory put it there. My cousin has a stamped and welded one with a curved tab. That is more comfortable, but would be difficult to execute.
Come to think of it, what is the factory's excuse for not putting one on every AK? It is such a clear improvement at effectively no cost.
It also serves as a good comfortable place to rest your trigger finger between shots. That promotes good safety, and naturally reminds you to take the safety off before attempting to fire. It is pretty easy to flick the safety off while shouldering as you aim at a clay. Resetting the safety is also very natural and easy.
