AK-treO8: I sent you a pm on the saiga I did the conversion and built all the Ak's in the shipping crate in the pic as well except for the krink which was an InRange build.

for sale $420 shipped out the door! saiga 12 with one 5 rnd mag and sling. conversion done but needs the original pin holes covered to be 100% finished fires and cycles good. barrel is 18" long and has scope rail on the side (scope not included) got an rpk kit on order and need to buffer the cost a bit, so this is priced to sell!

luckily my saiga seems to shoot ok with the stock ports on light loads on the "2" setting. my barrel is also 18" long. only prob I had out of the last 10 rounds fired through it was one jam where the empty shell got lodged in the ejection port like the bolt closed to fast on it.

so is it 18 or 18 1/2 inches? I had a guy tell me yesterday it was 18 1/2 to be legal. whats the skinny on that law? also if a saiga is cut down to 18 won't that cause the gun to loose gas preassure and not cycle rounds correctly?

this is prob a dumb qeustion as well but why is it you can have a barrel length of 16" on a rifle but have to have 18" on a shot gun?
