  1. I have my 1st Saiga 12 and am ready to order parts!! But before I do, I'd just like ya'll to let me know if you'd suggest anything else. Parts List: Molot GK-01 brake (ordered) Chaos Titan quad w/ HK sights (ordered) Tromix Conversion kit (from CSS) Drum & Mags Vertical grip (Aluminum) Maybe: Lee 10 Lb. Production Pot Lee 1 oz. slug mold Winchester WAA12 wads (All for making "Mexican Match" slugs out of Wally world bird shot) My range requires slugs so its either this or wax slugs (which would be cheaper) FYI, Its main purpose is plinking, but maybe hunting and compet

  5. Nice! Do you have any pictures of your "Comp" model on a Saiga 12?
  6. Yea, this is what I want to know
  7. $99 Yep, I wouldn't feel like I'd need to shorten the barrel with it. Plus its $99 vs $170...but the big question is how it compares to the original 1 as far as function goes. I'm not expecting it to be as effective since its missing 3 ports and 4 gills but i just want an idea (though I know that it'll be quality coming from Tromix).
  8. I was just looking up compensator options and ran across this on CSS. Has anyone tried it yet? I tried googling/ youtubing it and came up short on reviews...According to CSS it is 3 1/4" (compared to the full sized version which is 5.8") and $99. What I want to know is how it compares to the JTE Competition Brake and full sized Monster. http://store.carolin...ni-Brake/Detail
  9. I talked to Classic yesterday and they told me that Customs released them so they should be receiving them on Tuesday or Wednesday and they'll be ready to ship them out then.
  10. ...Preferably the latter of the 2 but I'd take either
  11. Sorry that I'm just getting back to you (haven't been online in a while)...I'm ashamed to say that I primed it, and actually used 1 coat of a red called Lady Bug by Martha Stewart ...Yes, laugh it up lol. After that, I put 6 coats of brush on poly & 4 coats of rub on poly
  12. Thanks! I primed it, painted it, n put about 10 coats of polyurethane on it
  13. thats a nice setup man. i love the pistol grip. who makes it and where did you get it? also the guitar case is badass. where can i get one? Thanks. Pistol Grip: http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78081 And its just a regular hard shell guitar case that you can get from Guitar, Center, ebay, etc. Here's the method that I followed (ended up using mattress foam though): http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_118/457170_.html
  14. I FINALLY took it to the range yesterday to get sighted in and had FUN (plus i havent fired any of my guns in a year)!! The Eotech's easy to adjust and is great for fast target acquisition (The 5x magnifier with the FTS mount just makes it the best of both worlds)! The rifle itself is pretty accurate and as a whole, its lived up to the hype that I've been hearing for the past 2 years! The only issues that I had are with my Polish mags. Here's one of the 50 yard targets (I made adjustments after the 3 shot group on the upper half and ended up with that 1 inch 8 shot group): The range
  15. Cool. What caliber are you considering for your next conversion? Mine's gotta be a S12!
  16. Cool...I STILL havent taken mine to the range yet though!
  17. *Looks at top of page then looks at the last post*...nice Serge!
  18. Cool. I'm starting to research the Saiga 12 now to figure out if i should get it or a GSG-5
  19. Yep! But stooooopid me decided to drill a hole in the stock with another screw of a different size (so I wouldn't have to deal w/ the 1 that came w/ it), BUT didn't check to see if the new screw's head would fit all the way down in the slot. So now the screw's head interferes with the recoil spring's end piece ...My only thought would be to dremel the sides of the new screw that fits so that it will be seated all the way down n wouldn't be in the way
  20. Sounds good! Btw, check out my post right b4 this one? What would I need to do that other than those hinges and guitar (I'd ask the video poster but he hasn't logged in in months)? I can make that the next project for this week because i found a cheap guitar (trying to find out if its large enough to work tho). Also, I need a little help with the saiga's screw that connects to the stock (the 1 under the dust cover). Hit me up to let me know when yer free. In other news, My boy may be willing to let go of 2 of his Tapco stocks for AKs
  21. OK!!! Now I want to do it this way (Just like in Desperado) since I've come so far (skip to 2:08)!!! He only explained that I would need heavy duty door hinges w/ the spring inside that would allow me to adjust the tension. Do you know what else I'd need?
  22. Really? I fell in love with the pistol grip n used the one that came with the Timbersmith set as a practice piece. And thanks! Thanx. I was going for that different look and i cant wait to take it to the range! Watching youtube vids are killin me lol I was going for the El Mariachi look...And yep, I stocked up on ammo because I only had a few bird shot rounds, 60 for my AK47, 3 FMJ Wolf rounds in my 1911 and no .308s for my DPMS AP4 a few weeks ago (and shame-ably, it was like that for a while)
