  1. thanks for the comments! you're correct. my ar15 has a bull barrel with a true free floating grip. it only attaches at the barrel nut. nothing is fixed mid barrel or at the gas block.
  2. honestly haven't shot the rifle yet since the install. it was easter weekend and all. theoretically the free floating barrel should decrease the shooters affects on accuracy. but i have no evidence to support that...yet...
  3. i have the MAA one on both my self converted S12 and S308. rock solid with a little lock tite. i don't have the 7.62 rifle but the 308 doesn't have the rivet holes to utilize the 4 side screws. i had the DPH on my on my S308 and it was NOT straight back as it's designed with a slight downward angle which i didn't prefer. the MAA version keeps the butt stock nice and straight and is WAY more solid feeling than the DPH i had. i have no experience with the other models discussed. i shoot my s12 A LOT and the MAA ISA has never moved or wiggled on me once. highly recommended. my S12 has a m
  4. got it from MAA.com...i'd suggest dropping the extra cash for the cantilevered/quick release mount though. not sure the manufacturer.
  5. here is what we southerners use to slay some wicked zombies in these parts...we prefer a converted Saiga 308. you that own these know that front grip options are few and far between. i wanted something not so run of the mill and that would send the zombies running before the first shot is fired. so i called (or maybe emailed) fugly stick and begged and pleaded for a fugly stick for the 308. the pictures you will see below are just a protoype but daddy likes! the fugly stick isn't for everyone but i love it. the installation overall was fairly labor intensive. the hardest part bein
  6. +++ for MAA..just received my 10 rnd s12 mags and 20 rnd s308 mags and 3 ergo grips (s12, s308 and ar15). i ordered them monday afternoon late! MAA is like the blond hound gang...
  7. i love forums...i just converted my s12 a couple weeks ago and got to test it yesterday. i had problems all along with light loads not cycling so i added the 4 pos'n piston adjuster but again hadn't tested it. so yesterday i brought 00 to shoot and it was acting the same way as described at the top. thanks to the pic i remembered my spring doing the same thing after i did the conversion so i'll go home tonight and fix that part. now i just need to get to the bottom of the cycling issue. but i do love my s12....
  8. appreciate it...up close you'll see some flaws especially in the spray job but it adds character right?
  9. well i finally read enough and decided to convert the 12 and 308. called up Nate-dogg and he started sending me parts. Here are the pics...they're terrible pics and don't mind the sandles. i'll post closer pics and details of the parts used later. it really wasn't all too bad just time consuming and you will lose a little blood setting those hammer springs and that stupid shepherds crook. otherwise it's lots of sparks flying while you grind away. on the s12 i really like the trigger guard MAA sent me...it's milled from aluminum and very sturdy. it matches the rivet holes perfectly so
  10. I have been a loyal MAA customer for 2 years now...so far having bought a Bushmaster lower with RRA bull barrel upper, a S12 with adj. butt-stock and a rail system, a S-308 and an XDM. Currently waiting on delivery of a Ruger LCP and a new Bushmaster upper. Superior service and fast response from Nathan and his staff. The new girl he's got answering the phones sounds smoking hot too!!! I will forever be an MAA fan and customer!!! (Still waiting though on the "protected by MAA" signs to replace my security signs in the yard...like hotcakes I say!!!)
